                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 3240,
                   3241, AND 3242 WATERFRONT DRIVE, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST LINES OF WATERFRONT
                   DRIVE SOUTHEAST OF BROWN'S FERRY ROAD, FROM R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 3240, 3241, and 3242
                Waterfront Drive, being on the northeast and
                southwest lines of Waterfront Drive southeast of
                Brown's Ferry Road.  Lot 86, Browns Ferry Landing,
                as shown by plat of record in plat book 45, page
                195, ROHC; lot 87, Browns Ferry Landing, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 45, page 315, ROHC;
                and lot 88, Browns Ferry Landing, as shown by plat
                of record in plat book 45, page 317, ROHC; being
                the properties described in deed book 3864, page
                899, ROHC, deed book 4075, page 961, ROHC, and deed
                book 4072, page 848, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 144D-C-1.4,
                1.5, and 1.6.
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone and C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone 
to
         R-1 Residential Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
